Hello!
So, it's been a while! In my defence I've been really quite busy....
- I put myself up for the British 10k London Run, with less than two weeks to train and raise money, but I did it! Running around all the London landmarks with 25,000 other nutjobs at 10.00am on a Sunday was actually really enjoyable! I think I may have caught the running bug - uh-oh.... But I'm still very stiff and sore, especially my calf muscles, which is making my walk rather strangely...
- Patronage brochure is done, as is my Grant-giving Trusts letter template. Just waiting to receive my two letters of support...
I'm also currently looking for a venue in the first weekend of September to perform a one-woman revue show. AND I've found a potential collaborator - how exciting!
Yesterday I spoke to my old tutor from college, who I haven't seen since I was 18. It was so nice catching up! He seemed really happy to hear from me, and I think I might have made him blush when I said I was calling him to thank him for all he did lol!
Right, plenty to do today so I'm off!

More rejection, more plans - and Bon Jovi!
Morning folks,
At work this morning - very quiet today. Not surprising - if you're going to exercise today wouldn't you rather do it outside in the sunshine than in a dark gym that has Kiss FM on constantly?
Anyway, got turned down for another loan yesterday. For the moment feel well and truly stuck, but I'm not letting it get to me now - I've got to keep focused on my goal and how I can achieve that goal, so:
- got my list of charities to write to
- cracking on with getting in contact with local newspapers and radio stations
- also looking at getting some recording done so I can sell CDs!
- and emailing people in the business to see if they have any ideas
So far people have been really supportive - thank you!
On another subject...
I was offered free tickets to the Bon Jovi concert last night at the O2 - it was so much fun. It was the first time I'd ever been to the arena, and all I can say is IT'S SO BIG!!! As I was going up the escalators to my level 4 seat (well, they were free tickets) I looked up and got REVERSE VERTIGO. Now, I've never wondered if that was even possible before, but now I know reverse vertigo exists and its home is the O2 arena!
My four highlights of the gig:
1. Sir Bob Geldof!! Yeah, Mr Jovi threw a curve ball early on in the gig and got Sir Bob out from his hole under the stage to sing I don't Like Mondays. Fab.
2. After the obligatory guitar solo in Bad Madicine Bon Jovi started warbling in a strangely familiar manner. Surely not, I though, but yes - the cover of the night was Lulu's Shout! Granted, he got the words allllll wrong, but that didn't matter because the audience loved it!
3. To my reckoning Richie Sambora used at least 6 guitars throughout the performance - six!! My favouriite was the two headed guitar with 12 strings on the lower head.
4. And, of course, the final song of the night was Livin' on a Prayer. By this time (it was a 2hr30mins set) the guys were knackered, but Bon Jovi, as in the rest of the night, was note-perfect and it was the perfect end to the night. How else could they end it?
So a fab night was had, and back onto the hard work today.
Quick question though - if I were to record a CD to help raise funds, what songs would you want to hear me sing?

A Major Setback
Not good today,
I've found out I can't get the loan I need for my studies. I'm really trying hard to not get despondent, I've got to finish my charity research today after my REPS assessment, but right now I'm just trying not to cry...
I want this so badly and now I'm not entirely sure what to do.

What I've done so far....
Hello hello!
In the past 24 hours, I have:
- panicked about money at least 57 times
- asked my mum to check out church halls and evening venues back home for tea dances and cabaret night I can run back home
- though about the possibility of doing either a sponsored silence or sponsored singathon - which would be better?
- looked at other actors' patronage brochures
- started researching which charities I can apply to
- sent information to my school about signing up to the YPLA (Young People's Learning Agency) so students can get access to Career Development Loans
In the next 24 hours I have to:
- panic less than 57 times about money
- start on my patronage brochure
- start a budget for a potential production in November
- look at what I can sell
- and visit my grandma because she's just got out of hospital and I'm cooking her a nice dinner
I feel sick just thinking about the money I have to raise, but I feel 100 times worse thinking about not going to drama school, so I've just got to do it!
On another note, what were England about last night?? They panicked their way through that shambles of a match - methinks something's not right in the team-manager relationship...
Right, back to work!

I'm going to drama school - now the hard work starts...
Hi!
First an introduction - my name is Terrie-May McNulty, I'm a 25-year-old singer/actor from a small market town in Devon, England, called Newton Abbot, and now I live in Kingston in the bit that's sort of London, sort of Surrey, but is actually not really either. I went to Kingston University where I gained a First Class honours degree in Drama and won the Drama prize upon graduation.
After a year of gaining experience in musical theatre, film and stage work, I've been offered a place on the one-year intensive Musical Theatre course at the American Musical Theatre Academy of London (www.americanacademy.co.uk)!
Now, here's the problem - the course is £9000. I'm not in that envious position where I can be funded by my family, so I have to fund myself. In the UK there is very little financial assistance for courses run by independent schools, so aside from loans what is there?
If you have any ideas, hints, tips to help me, please let me know! I have a few ideas of my own that I'm working on, but I know I haven't thought of everything!!
I intend to update this blog on a regular basis to let you know of my progress.
Wish me luck!!!
