I'm going to drama school - now the hard work starts...

Hi!

First an introduction - my name is Terrie-May McNulty, I'm a 25-year-old singer/actor from a small market town in Devon, England, called Newton Abbot, and now I live in Kingston in the bit that's sort of London, sort of Surrey, but is actually not really either. I went to Kingston University where I gained a First Class honours degree in Drama and won the Drama prize upon graduation.

After a year of gaining experience in musical theatre, film and stage work, I've been offered a place on the one-year intensive Musical Theatre course at the American Musical Theatre Academy of London (www.americanacademy.co.uk)!

Now, here's the problem - the course is £9000. I'm not in that envious position where I can be funded by my family, so I have to fund myself. In the UK there is very little financial assistance for courses run by independent schools, so aside from loans what is there?

If you have any ideas, hints, tips to help me, please let me know! I have a few ideas of my own that I'm working on, but I know I haven't thought of everything!!

I intend to update this blog on a regular basis to let you know of my progress.
